John, Caroline and their two children live in Needham Massachusetts. Graduates of Rhode Island School of Design they've pursued careers in art and design for over twenty years.
In 2011 John, and a long-time colleage, Michael Wang, opened a new architecture and urban planning firm in Newton, MA. Form + Place specializes in architecture, planning and urban design. He is also working part-time at Arrowstreet Inc. in Somerville. John studied in Rome for a year in college and will do almost anything to get back there for a visit. A member of the Urban Land Intstitute and the AIA, he has taught at the Boston Architectural Center, and remains involved with portfolio review days at RISD. He has designed buildings and urban spaces throughout the Eastern United States as well as in Italy.
In 2012, Caroline accepted a position as Art Teacher at Ursuline Academy in Dedham MA. At the beginning of her career, Caroline worked in New York for a couple of years before returning to the Boston area to complete a Masters in Fine Art degree at Massachusetts College of Art. She has taught at the Danforth Museum of Art in Framingham, and currently conducts art classes for adults out of her home studio. Caroline worked for ten years in the School Design Division of Houghton Mifflin Company (now Houghton Mifflin Harcourt). She continues to work as a freelance designer as well as an artist and art teacher.
Often they exhibit their artwork together. When they're not painting or designing, they love to travel, drink coffee (him) and tea (her) and to read. Fortunately, the kids like those things too (tea, not coffee).
