Wellfleet Shops 8” x 10” oil on canvas. I promised a while back to finish posting my paintings from the summer. This is another.
"Earth Like Yellowed Paper" 10" x 10" mixed media on canvas. Something about the color and the lines in the lower part of this painting reminds me of "oatmeal paper". Does anybody else remember this stuff? We used it in elementary school. Literally minutes after it came home, it began turning yellow. If it was in a stack of paper that was shifted, the edges would be more yellow than the part that had been protected by the stack.
Provincetown Pier #1 10” x 20” oil on canvas
I was in Provincetown both this summer and for a day in the fall. There is an old rotting pier behind the shops, just lovely. It allowed me to just have fun with brush strokes and color. Might have to do more of these.

8” x 8” Mixed media on board. This one sold at the RISD sale. I seem to teeter sometimes between pure abstraction, and more representational painting. I’ve given up choosing between the two. It’s more fun to teeter.

8” x 8” mixed media on board. I did three paintings with this palette (or maybe it was four). I was in the midst of repainting our bathroom and trying to find a palette that would work with classic 1950’s tiles. Also, I love turquoise and teal with a dash of red or rust.
10” x 10” Just having fun with blues.
11” x 14” oil on canvas. I did this one in the morning this summer before everyone woke up. I had enlisted the kids in gathering as many really good horseshoe crabs as they could find from Mayo Beach. Then I set about painting and drawing them.
