I started working in oils again.  It’s been about 10 years.  Having worked in pastels, pen and ink, and charcoal for the last few years I have a huge back-log of images that I can use as the base study for oils.  The pastel below this one was done more than a year ago and this oil on canvas was done this week.

So far I haven’t picked up a brush.  I’ve been working strictly with a palette knife.  It’s keeping it loose and thu far I like the results.  This image is 10x10.  I’m also using the water workable oils by Winsor Newton.  I’m finding that I really like the way the paint is going on the canvas and it’s got a great luster once it’s on.
